Introducing Oak: Our New Wooden Flooring Showroom in Tetbury
Flooring South West has opened Oak, a new showroom in Tetbury dedicated entirely to wooden flooring.
Just two doors down from our main showroom on [street name], Oak gives homeowners, designers and architects across the Cotswolds and South West a place to see a wide range of wood floors side by side, with different timbers, grades, finishes, plank widths and laying patterns all under one roof.
Why a dedicated wood flooring showroom?
Since we opened our Flooring South West showroom just over a year ago, it’s become home to carpet, luxury vinyl, natural fibre and eco flooring, rugs and accessories. As more customers came to us looking for wood, it became clear that wood deserved a space of its own.
So when the premises two doors along became available, the timing was perfect.
Why seeing wood in person matters
Choosing a wooden floor is about far more than colour. The timber, grade, plank width, finish and laying pattern all change how the finished floor looks and feels.
A wide oak plank creates a completely different room from a narrow board. A matt oiled finish brings out the grain in a way a lacquer won’t. Herringbone and chevron patterns turn a floor into a feature. These are differences you can’t judge properly from a photo or a sample on a screen.
At Oak, you can see the texture and detail of each floor, compare options next to each other, and talk them through with our team. We’ll help you weigh up the practical side too: the room, how it’s used, and how the floor needs to perform.
Whether you’re restoring a period Cotswold property, finishing a contemporary interior or specifying floors for a larger project, it’s the best place to start.
Celebrating the opening
We marked the launch in March 2026 with an evening at the new showroom, welcoming customers, suppliers, local businesses, friends and members of the local press.
It was a chance to show people around, celebrate a milestone for the business, and thank everyone who has supported us since we first opened in Tetbury. We were delighted to see so many familiar faces there.
Two showrooms, one team
Oak has its own identity and website, but it’s very much part of the Flooring South West family. Our main showroom continues to offer the full range of flooring for the home, while Oak is the specialist destination for wood.
With just a short walk between the two, you can compare wood against other options and get advice from the same experienced team in one visit.
